Full Job Description Pay:

$19.00 base pay plus tips

SCHEDULE

Sunday to Wednesday from 7:15am to 3:30pm

MAIN DUTIES

Prepares mise en place for all dishes for assigned positions. Cook, plate and garnish all dishes ordered during service. Breaks down mise en place and cleans the station.

PREP/PRE-SERVICE

Take stock of current inventory and prepare a daily prep list. Prepare all required mise en place following Manresa Bread recipes and standards. SERVICE Cook and serve dishes Assist with cleaning the kitchen, including doing dishes regularly.

COMMUNICATION

Assist Kitchen Manager with training new staff. Coordinate with other line cooks to prepare for service. Report any mishaps in the kitchen to Management. Be reliable and punctual at all times. Participate in training activities and meetings as required. Undertake and follow through on any reasonable task or request made by Management. Be fully aware of the restaurant's fire and safety regulations and abide by them. Be courteous and professional with all team members. Inform Management of all complaints or incidents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / JOB DUTIES / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to positively communicate with co-workers in a noisy, fast-paced environment. Satisfactory vision and hearing. Must be able to read menu, descriptions, safety/training manuals, and ability to take notes. Constant standing with some walking. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8 hours). Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds. Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Generally in an indoor setting. The environment may include alcohol, meat, poultry (pork, beef, chicken), shellfish, nuts, and wheat allergens. Varying schedule to include early mornings, evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to heat/cold water and air temperature from the mechanical equipment.

SAFETY AND SANITATION

Sanitize and keep the workspace clean/neat at all times. Frequently wash hands before handling any food, after using the restroom, returning from break, and as needed. Sweep or mop BOH stations. Transfer all mise en place to new containers after service. Completely clean work area before leaving. Ensure that you keep a high standard of personal hygiene, your uniform is kept clean, and that you are well-groomed at all times. Must obtain a Food Handler Card within 30 days of employment. May be required to clear tables periodically.

POSITION TYPE, EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK, AND DURATION

This is a Part-time or Full-time non-exempt position. Full-time employees working 30 or more hours are eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Ability to work a varying schedule to include early mornings, evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates. Ability to work federal holidays. TRAVEL No travel is expected for this position.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
