Job Description
Prepare and cook dishes to recipe, quality, and presentation standards in a casual dining kitchen. Handle ingredients, operate cooking equipment, monitor food temperatures and quality, maintain a clean workstation, and follow safety procedures while supporting kitchen operations. Responsibilities Prepare, portion, chop, and store ingredients, including fresh fruits and vegetables. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients and prepare cold foods. Cook food according to recipes and quality and presentation standards using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Test food and monitor cooking and storage temperatures and quality. Set up and break down the workstation and clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, and equipment. Follow safety procedures and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions.
