Responsibilities:
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff Answer, report and follow manager instructions. Clean up station and take care of leftover food Stock inventory appropriately Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customer
Qualifications:
Previous experience in the food industry, catering, or dietary department is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Ability to handle knives and other kitchen equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Must be able to communicate clearly in English.
