1410 Lake Hearn Dr NE, Suite E, Brookhaven, GA 30319 Position Summary A Cook / Grill Cook at Dish's Bagels is responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality breakfast and lunch items quickly, accurately, and consistently. This position is an important part of the Dish's Bagels guest experience. Our cooks work in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining high standards for food quality, cleanliness, food safety, teamwork, and customer service. At Dish's Bagels, our goal is simple: serve great food with great service while bringing together New York tradition and Southern hospitality. Key Responsibilities The Cook / Grill Cook will: Prepare breakfast sandwiches, eggs, bacon, sausage, Taylor ham, and other breakfast items to order. Prepare hot and cold sandwiches, deli sandwiches, and other lunch menu items according to Dish's Bagels recipes and standards. Operate the grill, flat top, toaster, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Prepare multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality. Read and follow customer tickets carefully, including special requests and modifications. Maintain proper portion sizes and presentation standards. Ensure food is cooked, held, and served at proper temperatures. Complete daily food preparation, including meats, cheeses, vegetables, sauces, and other ingredients. Stock and organize the cooking and preparation stations before and throughout each shift. Communicate with front-counter, deli, bagel, and kitchen team members to keep orders moving efficiently. Help control food waste by following proper portioning, rotation, and storage procedures. Follow FIFO procedures and properly label, date, and store food products. Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift. Clean grills, cooking equipment, counters, utensils, floors, and kitchen areas as assigned. Follow all Dish's Bagels food-safety, sanitation, and health-department procedures. Assist with opening and closing responsibilities. Help receive and properly store deliveries when necessary. Assist other team members during busy periods. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Skills & Attributes Successful Dish's Bagels cooks should have: Strong sense of urgency. Qualifications Restaurant, breakfast, deli, short-order, or grill cooking experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.

Applicants must be able to:

Work in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Stand and move for extended periods. Bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks. Safely lift and carry up to approximately 50 pounds when necessary. Work around hot grills, ovens, steam, refrigeration equipment, and other commercial kitchen equipment. Work mornings, weekends, holidays, and other shifts required by the business. Understand and follow food-safety and sanitation procedures. Communicate effectively with managers and other team members.
