The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with experience in fine dining and menu planning. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic kitchen environment, delivering exceptional dishes and memorable dining experiences. Candidates with dietary department experience, culinary expertise, and excellent knife skills are highly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist in menu planning and food presentation to ensure visual appeal and quality Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene throughout all stages of food handling Ensure proper portioning, plating, and garnishing of dishes before service Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy periods Support catering events and special functions as needed Manage food inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the management team Adhere to all restaurant policies regarding food handling, safety, and cleanliness Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred, especially in fine dining or catering environments Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation Experience with menu planning and meal preparation for various dietary needs is a plus Proficiency in knife skills and food presentation techniques Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations within the food industry Background in dietary aide work or dietary department experience is advantageous but not required Excellent communication skills with the ability to serve as part of a cohesive kitchen team
