Job Description
Overview Hours are 5am-9am Monday-Friday and every other Saturday. Join our dynamic team as a Cashier/Cook, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional food service and seamless transactions. This energetic position combines the fast-paced environment of food preparation with the friendly face of customer interaction. You'll be responsible for preparing menu items, managing customer orders efficiently, and operating POS systems to ensure accurate sales processing. Duties Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, maintaining high-quality presentation and taste. Operate POS systems to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Manage customer orders with enthusiasm, upselling menu items to enhance sales and customer satisfaction. Handle cash register operations, process cash and card payments, and give correct change while maintaining accuracy. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including food prep areas, dining surfaces, and cashier stations, adhering to sanitation protocols. Assist with food handling duties like restocking supplies and ensuring food safety standards are met at all times. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including grills, fryers, ovens, and other appliances essential for food preparation. Experience Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is highly preferred; familiarity with retail or grocery store environments is a plus. Demonstrated ability in food preparation, food safety management, and handling kitchen equipment responsibly. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours. Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations.
