Job Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook and bring your passion for food to life! In this energetic role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing fresh ingredients, executing recipes with precision, and ensuring every dish meets our high standards of quality and safety. Your enthusiasm and culinary skills will contribute to creating a vibrant dining experience for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and fryers Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety standards in production and handling Assist with meal preparation for daily service and catering events, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations during busy hours Follow food safety management protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure proper food handling practices Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods Familiarity with food industry safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment Experience with recipe adherence, meal preparation, and operating kitchen equipment is desirable Catering experience is advantageous but not required; a passion for cooking and learning is essential Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference! Pay:
$16.00 - $17.50 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 32.0 per week
