•25/hour Left Bank Hot Dogs is looking for an experienced, reliable Prep Cook / Soup Cook to handle morning food production and get the kitchen ready before we open for customers. This is a great position for someone looking for consistent part-time morning hours without nights or dinner service. Schedule Approximately 3 mornings per week , primarily: Monday / Wednesday / Friday Typical shift will be approximately 2-4 hours in the morning , finishing around the time we open for customers. Approximately 6-12 hours per week to start, with the potential for additional hours. Responsibilities Prepare homemade soups in large batches Follow established Left Bank recipes Prepare Sloppy Joe and other bulk menu items Chop and prepare onions, tomatoes, lettuce and other toppings Prepare chicken salad and tuna salad Prepare chili and other backups as needed Check existing inventory before producing additional food Portion, label, date and properly store prepared food Keep prep areas and equipment clean and sanitized Help ensure the kitchen is fully stocked and ready before opening Communicate ingredient shortages and prep needs to management What We're Looking For Previous kitchen, prep cook or restaurant cooking experience preferred Soup-making experience is a major plus Comfortable working independently Reliable and punctual Organized and efficient Able to follow recipes consistently Understands safe food handling and storage Able to manage a prep list without constant supervision Takes pride in leaving a clean, organized kitchen Why This Job Is Different No late nights. The goal of this position is simple: come in before service, complete the day's soup and prep production efficiently, clean up, and leave the restaurant ready for the day.
Pay:
$20
•25/hour depending on experience. When applying, please include your kitchen experience, soup/prep experience, and morning availability.
