Hiring Agency General Government Cabinet | Department of Veterans Affairs Location 100 Veterans Drive Wilmore, KY 40390 USA Description Thomson-Hood Veterans Center is looking for a self-motivated, energetic Cook II who possesses the desire to care for Kentucky's Veterans. Expectations for the Cook II include but are not limited to: Coordinates, prepares, and serves palatable/appetizing meals in a timely basis and in accordance with sanitary regulations. Reviews menus and production sheets to ensure food is available for meals and snacks. Assist the Food Prep Coordinators as needed. Ensures scheduled cleaning duties are complete. The equipment and utensils need to be in a safe clean and sanitary condition. Ability to plan, coordinate, assign and if needed, supervise staff to lead them to be successful. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment to meet our commitment to serving Kentucky's Veterans by fostering Independence, preserving Dignity, and providing Compassionate Care. Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS

Two years of cooking experience in an institutional or large scale commercial setting. Substitute
