Looking for a seasonal job to work around schedule?! The Bridgewater Dome is currently looking to add an energetic and friendly cook to join our team. The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food items for our café using various cooking methods and equipment, including a flat top grille, fryolator, and oven. This role ensures that all food is cooked to expectations, maintaining the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and efficiency to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
• Operate, clean and maintain cooking equipment such as flat top grilles, fryolators, and ovens.
• Ensure food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractively.
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Check the quality and consistency of food items before serving.
• Adjust recipes and ingredient quantities as needed to ensure optimal taste and presentation.
• Work closely with other staff to coordinate orders and ensure timely service.
• Communicate effectively with front counter staff and management regarding special requests or dietary restrictions.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking supplies.
• Properly store and label food items to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
• Assist with kitchen cleanup and dishwashing as needed.
• Participate in training sessions and team meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operation of the café. Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role in a restaurant or café setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with cooking equipment and kitchen procedures.
• Culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Flexible to changes.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of shift.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 40 pounds.

Working conditions

Environment:

• Work primarily in a kitchen setting within the café.
• Exposure to heat, cooking equipment, and various food items.

Physical Demands:

Schedule:
