Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine! In this energetic role, you will be instrumental in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and supporting the overall flow of meal service. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Assist in food preparation, including slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients with precision using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as ovens, fryers, mixers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces in compliance with food safety standards Support meal preparation for service periods, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes Follow food handling procedures meticulously to uphold safety standards in production and prevent cross-contamination Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow during busy service times Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus Familiarity with menu planning and recipe adherence to maintain consistency in food quality Strong food safety management skills and understanding of safety standards in production environments Proven ability to handle food safely, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for efficient ingredient prep Ability to work collaboratively within a kitchen team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization Catering experience or background in the food industry is advantageous Join us to bring your culinary talents to life!
