Join our team at Lake Effect Bar and Grill and experience an unforgettable summer in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We are seeking a Line Cook to help prepare, cook meals, and add to our positive team culture. Copper Harbor is a small town at the northernmost point in Michigan. With a year-round population of 100, the unique beauty and world-class mountain biking trails brings travelers from all over the country. Many of the tourists return year after year, and we want Lake Effect Bar and Grill to be on the top of their to-do list. For that reason, we only serve fresh, never frozen Whitefish, burgers, wings, chicken tenders and more. It is important that you are familiar working a grill and fryer in a fast-paced environment. Ideal Candidate/Qualifications Reliable, dependable and punctual Able to follow instructions accurately and multitask Works well as part of a team and supports others Follows company policies, procedures and safety standards Adheres to food handling and sanitation requirements Communicates appropriately, supportively and professionally Adaptable, takes initiative, and able to multitask and troubleshoot in a fast-paced setting Demonstrates good judgment, integrity, honesty and professionalism Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow Housing is $50 a week and you will have your own private room. There are several cottages right next to the restaurant that are all dedicated to staff housing. If you are interested in a campsite that is possibly an option depending on availability. A few of our cooks are leaving for school and we are looking for someone to fill their spot. The season ends October 15th and we usually stay, at the most, five days after shutting everything down for the winter.
