Duties Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients for various menu items Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and food prep tools Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas, following food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure a hygienic environment Support the kitchen team during busy periods by managing high-volume food production while adhering to recipe adherence and portion control guidelines Help with general kitchen duties such as organizing supplies, restocking ingredients, and ensuring proper food handling practices are followed Contribute to menu planning ideas by providing feedback on ingredient quality and preparation methods based on culinary experience Skills Proven experience in food preparation, including pizza making or similar culinary roles in restaurants or catering environments Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely Knowledge of food safety management practices, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques Experience with high-volume production environments and maintaining efficiency under pressure Ability to follow recipes meticulously while maintaining flexibility for special requests or modifications Background in dietary aide work or dietary department experience is a plus for understanding special dietary needs Familiarity with menu planning, cooking techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and food industry standards Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to support a busy kitchen environment effectively
