Position Summary The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, home-style meals for approximately 40 assisted living residents. The ideal candidate enjoys cooking, works well with others, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen. Responsibilities Prepare and serve home-style meals for approximately 40 residents Prepare meals from scratch following planned menus and recipes Follow dietary guidelines and special meal requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met Work collaboratively with team members to provide an excellent dining experience Assist with kitchen cleanup and other dietary duties as needed Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to pass a criminal background check Previous cooking experience required; scratch cooking experience preferred Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team Compassion and a genuine desire to serve the elderly Benefits All employees are eligible for: Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) with company contributions after 90 days of employment Why Join Green Acres of Greenville?
