Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and knives Assist in menu planning by suggesting new ideas and ensuring consistency in food quality Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking areas in compliance with food safety standards Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques and adhering to hygiene protocols Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality control Skills Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, including slicing, knife skills, and recipe adherence Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively Experience with food safety management practices and understanding safety standards in production environments Ability to communicate clearly with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus Excellent cleaning habits to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment at all times This role offers an exciting chance to develop your culinary expertise while working in a vibrant team environment.
