Green Acres of Wayland, an assisted living community, is currently seeking compassionate, dependable Cooks / Kitchen Staff to help prepare nutritious and flavorful meals and snacks for our residents. If you enjoy cooking, working as part of a team, and making a difference in the lives of seniors, we would love to meet you! Available Positions & SchedulesPosition 1- Day Shift 7:00 AM
- 3:00 PM 16 hours per week Week 1: Tuesday and Thursday Week 2: Saturday and Sunday Must be available to work every other holiday Position 2
- Evening Shift 3:00 PM
- 7:00 PM 28 hours per pay period Week 1: 3 days per week Week 2: 4 days per week Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation Responsibilities Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to planned menus Ensure food is fresh, properly stored, and safely prepared Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment Assist with meal preparation, serving, and kitchen cleanup Work collaboratively with team members to provide quality service to residents Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older Must be able to pass a criminal background check Dependable with a positive attitude Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Prior food service or cooking experience is helpful but not required We are happy to train the right person!
