Job Description:
Shift Time 11:30AM-8:00PM Mon-Fri We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Cook to join our team in Shakopee, MN. This full-time position involves preparing meals in a healthcare and Senior living environment, adhering to specific menus and dietary requirements. The role requires the ability to prepare modified diets, including pureed and ground foods, and ensure meals meet residents' dietary restrictions. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in healthcare, Senior living, or a similar environment, and be able to obtain a Certified Food Protection Manager certification within 30 days of hire. Responsibilities Prepare meals according to specific menus and dietary requirements. Ensure quality and portion control in food preparation. Create visually appealing food presentations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. Ensure food is stored properly and safely. Follow safe food handling policies, procedures, and recipes. Collaborate with the dining team to ensure accurate meal preparation and service. Adhere to resident dietary needs and restrictions. Essential Skills Experience in food service and preparation. Ability to work as a line cook or chef. Proficiency in tray line and dishwashing duties. Strong hospitality skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Certified Food Protection Manager certification (obtainable within 30 days of hire). Experience in healthcare, elderly living, or similar environments. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
