Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line cook /Prep Cooks to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in the kitchen by assisting in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for cooking, and supporting the overall efficiency of our food service operations. Duties Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards. Handle food items with care, ensuring proper storage and labeling to prevent contamination. Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation for catering events or daily service. Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation. Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in meal preparation. Experience in catering or working within a dietary department is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.
