Extreme Ice Center is a two-sheet ice rink located southeast of Charlotte, N.C. that provides year-round programs, leagues, classes and events for hockey, figure skating and recreational skating. Our in-house bar and restaurant, Center Ice Tavern, is seeking experienced line cooks, expeditors, and food runners that have a passion for food and hospitality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with food preparation and cooking, following established recipes and safety protocols Support menu planning by preparing ingredients and assembling meals according to dietary guidelines Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen in compliance with food safety standards Handle food items safely, including proper storage, portioning, and disposal practices Support catering events or special meal occasions as needed Follow all food handling procedures to ensure hygiene and safety are upheld at all times

REQUIREMENTS

Prior experience in dietary departments, food service, or restaurant environments is highly preferred Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques Experience with menu planning and catering is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills to work in others in the kitchen Kitchen experience within the food industry or fine dining settings is advantageous

COMPENSATION

Depending on the position and experience, pay rates range from $12-20/hour to start.
