Overview:

We are currently looking for a cook who is quick, organized, and can handle all aspects of food preparation. The responsibilities include keeping food preparation areas clean, grilling, cooking, and frying foods, taking orders, serving dishes to customers, and ordering and stocking kitchen and food supplies.

Qualifications:

Required:

Quantity cooking experience Strong ability to take direction Must have the ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, and lifting Possess basic math skills

Preferred:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Scheduling Requirements Part-Time:

Essential Functions:

Prepare food for patients and others using a variety of production tools, techniques and equipment Ensure meal service demands are met. Maintains a sanitary work environment Take customer orders and prepare food to their specifications Grill, cook, and fry foods Plan and manage work orders to ensure all items of an order are finished and served at the same time Grill and garnish hamburgers and other meats Perform simple food preparation tasks, such as slicing up meats and vegetables Complete orders from steam tables, plate the food, and serve to the customers Order supplies and stocking the shelves Rotate food and stamp the time and date on the food in the coolers Clean food preparation equipment and areas At RWJBarnabas Health, our market-competitive Total Rewards package provides comprehensive benefits and resources to support our employees' physical, emotional, social, and financial health.
