Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Food Production Cook specializing in Nut Roasting and Seasoning to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, roasting, seasoning, and packaging high-quality nut products in accordance with food safety standards and manufacturing procedures. Duties Roast a variety of nuts using commercial roasting equipment, ensuring even cooking and optimal flavor development Apply seasoning blends accurately to produce consistent product quality in line with recipes and specifications Operate machinery such as mixers, grinders, conveyors, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently Maintain strict sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, equipment, and production areas regularly in compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) protocols Monitor production processes for quality control, adjusting machine settings as needed to meet product specifications Follow manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and regulatory standards to ensure a safe working environment Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of raw materials and finished products while adhering to safety standards Troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment promptly to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production flow Use basic math skills for measuring ingredients, adjusting seasoning levels, and recording production data accurately Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely for inventory movement and storage purposes Ensure all personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn correctly at all times during shifts Experience Prior experience in food production or manufacturing environments is highly preferred, especially within the food industry or restaurant settings Demonstrated cooking skills with knowledge of baking, food processing, and food handling techniques Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, safety standards in production environments, and regulatory compliance requirements related to food safety management Mechanical troubleshooting skills for machinery maintenance and repair are advantageous Experience operating food processing or material handling equipment such as mixers, conveyors, or forklifts is desirable Strong understanding of kitchen or culinary operations including knife skills and food preparation techniques Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional nut products!
