Job Description
Meximodo Metuchen is looking for a reliable Prep Cook / Line Cook to join our back-of-house team. This is one of the most important roles in the building — you help keep the kitchen running smoothly and set the team up for success. If you're someone who works hard, stays organized, takes pride in your work, and enjoys being part of a busy restaurant, we'd love to meet you. This is a full-time position and requires open availability on weekends and holidays. What You'll Do Prepare ingredients, sauces, and recipes according to company standards Set up and stock your station before service Cook and plate menu items accurately and consistently during service Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area at all times Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and other kitchen tasks as needed — we all jump in to help each other Communicate with the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly Help with receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory when needed What We're Looking For Previous prep cook and/or line cook experience is required Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen preferred Someone who is dependable, punctual, and works well as part of a team Ability to stay organized and work efficiently under pressure Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, and move throughout the shift A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed Weekend and holiday availability is required for this position Equal Opportunity Employer Meximodo and Le Malt Hospitality Group are Equal Opportunity Employers.
