Job Description

Cook - Senior Living Up to $25/hour, dependent on experience. Every other weekend off, and shifts end by 7 PM. Cook for residents who'll know your name at The Shores in Ocean City, NJ. The Shores, a United Methodist Communities senior living community, is hiring a Cook for our dining team. What You'll Do Create and prepare quality meals that are appealing, well-balanced, and served promptly to residents and guests Maintain safe food handling practices throughout preparation, storage, service, and kitchen cleanup Use standardized recipes and serving guidelines to support consistency, minimize waste, and promote efficient operations Assist with meal service across dining venues, community events, catered functions, and special programs Help maintain an organized, sanitary, and safety-focused kitchen environment Contribute to a positive dining experience through teamwork and attention to detail
What You'll Need Required:
High school diploma or GED 18 years of age or older 1-2 years of cooking or meal preparation experience Able to read recipes and safety instructions and communicate with the care team in
English Preferred:
