Job Description

We're seeking a breakfast line cook who is a team player, passionate about food, and serving others to be responsible for preparing breakfast items for hotel guests while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, food safety, cooking and preparing food according to recipes and production guidelines while adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. The Cook should safely handle equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, Cook- Chill, Kettle and etc. We are a drug-free workplace and participate in E-Verify .
Roles and Responsibilities:
This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an employee in this position may be asked to perform from time to time. Prepare breakfast foods such as eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, and other menu items. Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet and food stations. Prepare food according to hotel recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines. Ensure food is cooked properly and kept at safe temperatures. Replenish buffet items as needed during breakfast service. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work area. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Monitor food supplies and notify management when ingredients need to be reordered. Properly store and label food and ingredients. Clean cooking equipment, utensils, counters, and other kitchen areas after service. Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with hotel guests. Assist with other kitchen duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A minimum of two (2) year's experience as a line cook or in a related role required. Breakfast-service experience is a plus. Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage. Demonstrates basic math and counting skills Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to maintain a safe, sanitary work environment, which conforms to all standards and regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies when necessary. ServSafe® Certification a
Plus Requirements:
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules ( including holidays and weekends ) to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required. Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts (5 A.M.) Ability to work all shifts inclusive of weekends and holidays Requires constant standing/walking. Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
