Associate Pay Rate:
$18.00 per hour Position Summary The Dual-Role FOH/BOH Café Associate is responsible for supporting both Front-of-House and Back-of-House café operations. This position requires strong food preparation, cooking, customer service, cash-handling, sanitation, organization, and communication skills. The ideal candidate is able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality, cleanliness, and excellent customer service. Back-of-House / Kitchen Responsibilities Prepare food according to established recipes and food preparation standards. Wash, cut, measure, weigh, and mix ingredients accurately. Prepare and portion vegetables, including lettuce, tomatoes, and other produce. Heat and serve soups while maintaining proper food-handling procedures. Prepare and handle baked goods and other café food items. Follow established cooking and baking methods, recipes, and preparation procedures. Check food to ensure proper presentation, quality, freshness, and portioning. Ensure all food and baked goods are properly covered, labeled, dated, stored, and rotated. Receive and properly put away food, beverage, and supply deliveries. Maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen, food preparation, and service areas. Clean and sanitize cookware, utensils, equipment, counters, and work surfaces. Restock food, beverages, supplies, and merchandise as needed. Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times. Front-of-House / Customer Service Responsibilities Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner. Take, manage, prepare, and serve customer orders accurately and in a timely manner. Monitor customer needs and provide efficient, courteous service. Assist with opening and closing procedures. Qualifications & Skills Previous Front-of-House/counter-service experience preferred. Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred. Experience with cutting, baking, cookware, and kitchen equipment. Knowledge of basic cooking and baking methods. Ability to follow recipes and established preparation procedures accurately. Strong attention to food presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation. Basic computer/PC knowledge.
