Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and safety guidelines Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors safely and efficiently Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen area Support meal preparation for catering events or special service requests as needed Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timing, portioning, and plating of dishes Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environment is preferred Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods Familiarity with food safety management systems and adherence to safety standards in production Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively Experience in menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation is highly desirable Catering experience or serving background is advantageous but not required Join us if you're passionate about creating delicious dishes in a lively setting!
