•201240 Assists First and Second Cooks in the preparation of food for patients, cafeteria, and catering functions. Performs set up, breakdown, and sanitizing of cooking and serving areas.

Responsibilities:

+ Assists First and Second Cooks in the preparation of food for patients, cafeteria, and catering functions.

+ Assists in setting up tray line assembly and cafeteria for meal services.

+ Assembles and gathers all required utensils for serving.

+ Serves patients at tray assembly line, as required.

+ Breaks down, cleans and sanitizes equipment after meal service.

+ Covers, dates and refrigerates leftovers according to policies and procedures.

+ Assists in preparing and delivering rendezvous trays to nursing units.

+ Complies with hospital, department and regional sanitation, safety and fire guidelines and regulations.

+ Performs related duties, as required.

ADA Essential Functions Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

+ Minimum of one (1) year food preparation experience, required. Experience in an institutional or hospital setting, preferred.

+ Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions, required.
