Job Description
Ryes N Shine is hiring a Breakfast Line Cook! Love working in a kitchen, but not so much the part where you're still there at 10 PM while everyone else is having dinner? Come cook breakfast. We're looking for a reliable, experienced line cook to join the kitchen crew at Ryes N Shine. We're a busy breakfast and brunch spot, which means our rush starts early—but it also means your workday ends early. No dinner shifts. No late nights. You'll be home in time for dinner every night. We're hiring for full-time or part-time, but there's one important requirement up front: Saturday AND Sunday availability is a must. Weekends are our busiest days, and we need someone who can be part of the team for both Saturday and Sunday service. If you're looking for weekday-only restaurant work, this unfortunately won't be the right fit. What You'll Be Doing Working the line during breakfast and brunch service Preparing eggs, breakfast meats, sandwiches, and other menu items quickly and consistently Handling prep and restocking your station Keeping your station clean, organized, and ready for service Working with the rest of the kitchen to keep tickets moving during busy shifts Following food safety, sanitation, and portion standards What We're Looking For Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen Dependable and punctual — breakfast waits for no one Able to stay organized and communicate during a rush Availability every Saturday and Sunday Someone who actually cares about the food they send out The Best Part? Your Evenings Are Yours. It's breakfast. You get your evenings back. No dinner service. No closing the kitchen at midnight. No getting home when everyone else is already in bed. Come in early, knock out a busy breakfast shift, and go home while there's still a whole lot of day left. Have dinner with your family. Make plans with friends. Sit on your couch and do absolutely nothing. Whatever you want—you're not stuck on the line all night. Full-time and part-time positions available. Saturday and Sunday availability required.
