Job Summary The Hartville Pantry in historic downtown Hartville is seeking a passionate and skilled Experienced Cook to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals with precision and creativity, ensuring every dish meets our standards for taste, presentation, and safety. Your expertise in food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences. We are looking for a day shift cook for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with attention to detail and consistency, adhering to established recipes and standards Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and innovative meal ideas Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety regulations and sanitation standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment Collaborate with dietary department staff to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently while maintaining quality Demonstrate excellent knife skills and food preparation techniques to optimize efficiency and presentation Requirements Must be able to work independently Proven experience in a culinary setting Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures Experience working in dietary departments or with dietary aides is highly desirable Skilled in menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques Familiarity with the food industry's best practices for catering, serving, and kitchen management Join us as an Experienced Cook and bring your culinary expertise to life!
