Job Overview We are seeking a part-time Line Cook to join our vibrant kitchen team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in a fast-paced, high-quality dining environment. As a key player in our culinary operation, you will prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring each plate meets our standards for flavor, presentation, and food safety. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining consistency and quality. Execute food preparation tasks efficiently, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols. Assist with menu planning by providing input on dish presentation and ingredient selection. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods while upholding high standards of food handling and safety. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs for restocking or ordering. Support catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of menu items with precision. Requirements Proven culinary experience with 3 to 5 years working as a line cook in a fast-paced restaurant or upscale setting. Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques across various cuisines. Knowledge of food handling regulations, sanitation standards, and food safety practices. Experience with meal preparation efficiently under pressure. Familiarity with the food industry's best practices for cooking, serving, and maintaining quality standards. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Previous experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus but not required; however, familiarity with dietary considerations can enhance performance.
