About Us:
Milton Nursing & Rehab - now under new ownership - is a 138 bed long and short term care facility. We are looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals to join our team. We are looking for a dedicated Cook to manage food production, ensure safety and sanitation, and bring joy to our community through great food.
Key Responsibilities Meal Preparation:
Prepare and serve high-quality meals according to standardized recipes and established menus.
Dietary Compliance:
Follow specific dietary modifications and nutritional guidelines as ordered for residents (e.g., low sodium, mechanical soft).
Safety & Sanitation:
Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and adhere to all local health department regulations and food safety standards.
Inventory Management:
Stock, rotate, and date products using "First-In, First-Out" (FIFO) methods.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Dining Services Coordinator and dietary aides to ensure timely meal delivery and service.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of food preparation experience in a restaurant, hotel, or healthcare setting.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a compassionate attitude toward the elderly.
