The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety protocols. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent service and presentation. The successful applicant will bring culinary expertise, knife skills, and a passion for creating delicious meals that meet our standards of excellence. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure freshness and variety Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including food handling and storage Support meal preparation for various service types, including catering and fine dining occasions Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and cooking appliances Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high customer satisfaction Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed Ensure all food served meets presentation standards and quality expectations Requirements Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role, preferably in fine dining or catering environments Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry best practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Prior dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus Restaurant experience with a focus on food service, cooking, and food industry operations is highly desirable Culinary experience that demonstrates creativity, consistency, and professionalism
