$8.00 - $10.00 per hour (based on experience) Job Overview We're looking for a dependable and skilled Line Cook to join our taqueria team. The ideal candidate will be able to follow recipes, work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen, and prepare delicious, high-quality dishes. You should be comfortable multitasking, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring each order is prepared to our standards. Duties and Responsibilities Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment. Prepare ingredients for service (chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.). Cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and quality expectations. Monitor and rotate food items to ensure freshness and food safety. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen. Ensure all food is properly stored and labeled. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company procedures. Assist with inventory management and alert management of shortages. Work with kitchen team to keep food orders flowing smoothly and on time. Be willing to learn and all restaurant recipes and procedures.
Requirements Experience:
Minimum 1 year of cooking experience in a restaurant or similar environment preferred.
Education:
No formal education required. Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have reliable transportation. Additional Information Uniform provided by employer. Benefits available after 30 days of employment. In-house training provided. Overtime available and paid at time-and-a-half. Pay rate based on experience (discussed during interview).
