Position Summary The Cook/Cashier plays a dual role in supporting both the kitchen and guest service operations. This position is responsible for preparing and serving food items in accordance with health and safety guidelines, as well as managing register transactions and ensuring guests have a positive dining experience. A successful candidate will be efficient, courteous, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Operate cooking equipment safely and maintain cleanliness in all food prep areas. Accurately take guest orders and process payments using the POS system. Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized front-of-house and back-of-house environment. Ensure all food is stored, handled, and served in accordance with health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure accurate and timely food delivery. Assist with receiving and storing food inventory and supplies. Uphold guest service standards by providing friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in food preparation, cashiering, or customer service preferred. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (food handler's permit required or ability to obtain). Must have or obtain a valid Utah alcohol server certification within 30 days of hire (at the team member's expense) when working on the 21+ side of the property. Ability to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude. Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented. Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and evenings. Must be 16 years or older to apply. Must be 21 years or older to work on the 21+ side of the property (preferred). Essential Physical Functions Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a scheduled shift. Must be able to lift, carry, and move food products, supplies, and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds . Requires frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand and wrist motions for food preparation and point-of-sale operation. Must be able to work in kitchen environments with exposure to heat, steam, cooking equipment, and cleaning chemicals. Visual acuity sufficient to read orders, tickets, screens, labels, and menus. Auditory ability sufficient to hear timers, kitchen communication, and guest requests in a fast-paced environment. Standard Work Environment Conditions Employees may be required to work in environments that include: Indoor and outdoor resort settings Proximity to chlorine-treated pools, saltwater pools, and mineral hot springs pools Exposure to humidity, steam, moisture, and wet or slippery surfaces Variable temperatures, including heat from hot springs and outdoor sun exposure Exposure to cleaning agents, pool chemicals, and food service chemicals (role-dependent) High guest traffic, noise, and fast-paced service conditions How to
