This role is essential in delivering high-quality food service and ensuring that our dietary standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in menu planning, food preparation, and fine dining. A commitment to food safety and exceptional service is crucial for success in this position. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Assist in menu planning to ensure a variety of nutritious options are available. Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout the kitchen. Handle food items with care, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques are followed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service. Provide excellent customer service while serving meals to guests. Participate in catering events as needed, showcasing culinary skills in various settings. Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation and presentation. Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and fine dining service is preferred but not required Familiarity with menu planning and catering services is highly desirable. Experience working in restaurants or similar food service environments is beneficial. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential. Culinary experience with a focus on meal preparation and serving techniques. Ability to work effectively within a team while demonstrating strong communication skills.
