Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, slicers, and food processors. Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to maintain a hygienic work environment. Assist in menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines when applicable. Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy hours. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts to meet safety standards in production. Support catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality control. Qualifications Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is a plus. Demonstrated culinary skills including knife techniques, slicing methods, and recipe adherence. Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments. Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and properly.
