Job Description

School Year Position-Follows the Student Calendar- / 5-6 hours per day (25-30 hrs. week)
Hours:
6:45am-12:45 pm, Monday-Friday Starting wage: $17.03

Food Service Director Description:

Work includes, but is not limited to, planning and preparation of large quantities of food, meeting deadlines, accurate record keeping, and overall cleanliness for compliance with the WI Food Code and National School Lunch Program/National School Breakfast Program standards to safeguard the health of school children and others. Perform other duties as necessary. Use a positive attitude at every opportunity to help educate students, staff, and others in good nutritional habits.
Qualifications:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires routine lifting of 45 pounds. Ability to reach, carry, push, bend and handle items weighing up to 50#. Ability to perform work requiring physical exertion may be required. Requires standing & walking most of the shift on hard and/or uneven surfaces. Ability to work in hot/humid conditions. Manual dexterity for use with serving utensils and repetitive motion. Must be able to work safely and quickly. Ability to see clearly at close range and have color discrimination for judging appearance, condition, and attractiveness of foods and displays. Ability to hear and communicate clearly.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to work effectively, cooperatively, and cheerfully with others and accept supervision. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to work under pressure of daily production and service timelines and remain calm and pleasant. Versatility to adapt to changes in job duties or locations. Basic math skills, ability to read a recipe, and attention to detail. Using a computer and tablet are also required. Attend and pass a Food Sanitation/Safety class for certification and American Heart Association CPR/AED courses within 2 years of hire date. High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of 18 years of age. Prior experience in food preparation is preferred, but not necessary.

From $17.03 per hour
