Job Description
Proudly serve those who served - America's Veterans need you . The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls is looking for a Cooks Help/Cook to join our team in caring for America's Heroes. We are a 5-Star, Deficiency Free, Homelike Care Community. The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls provides compassionate and professional long-term, skilled nursing care to veterans and spouses who cannot be cared for in their homes. As a Cook/Culinary Aide at the Veterans Home you will: Prepare food according to diet standards, recipes and food production requirements Ensure all food is cooked and presented in an attractive and palliative way Ensure temperature of all food items per food safety standards Serves meals and follows policies and procedures for meal services Operate dish machine to wash dishes, record and monitor temperatures to ensure compliance. Deliver and transport food to serving areas or to residents and return dish wear to clean-up. Clean dish machine, dish room area, assigned work areas, equipment, and follow the cleaning policies and procedures Assist with putting stock away and ensure proper dating and rotation of stock to reduce waste The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls provides compassionate and professional long-term, skilled nursing care to veterans and spouses who cannot be cared for in their homes.
