Prep Cook / Line Cook - Wild Goose Café Join the team at Wild Goose Café! Do you love working in a fast-paced kitchen where every day is different? Wild Goose Café is looking for an energetic, dependable Prep Cook / Line Cook to join our growing restaurant. Whether you're an experienced cook or someone looking to grow your culinary skills, we're looking for team players who take pride in preparing great food and providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do As a Prep Cook / Line Cook, you'll help keep our kitchen running smoothly by: Preparing fresh ingredients, meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, and other menu items according to recipes and customer orders. Cooking and assembling meals for both our café and catering operations. Washing, cutting, weighing, and measuring ingredients. Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen while following all food safety and Safe Food Handling procedures. Monitoring food temperatures and properly storing products. Assisting with catering order preparation, packaging, and loading. Receiving and organizing deliveries while helping manage inventory and reduce waste. Working closely with managers and teammates to provide an outstanding guest experience. Helping solve problems quickly and professionally when they arise. Performing other kitchen duties as needed to keep the operation running efficiently. We're looking for someone who is: Friendly, positive, and enjoys working with people. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus—but we're willing to train the right person. Basic math skills (measuring ingredients, doubling recipes, etc.). Ability to follow written recipes, procedures, and food safety guidelines. Basic computer skills are helpful. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand for extended periods ( 8-10 hour shifts). Lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Frequently bend, reach, stretch, and move throughout the kitchen. Work in refrigerated areas when needed. Perform repetitive food preparation tasks while maintaining quality and efficiency.
