Responsibilities Conduct thorough investigations into suspected fraud cases, utilizing surveillance techniques and data collection methods to gather critical evidence. Prepare detailed investigative reports that clearly document findings, procedures, and recommendations for action. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and government entities during investigations, ensuring compliance with criminal law and criminal procedure standards. Apply investigative interviewing techniques to obtain pertinent information from witnesses, suspects, and informants. Analyze investigation evidence meticulously to identify patterns, discrepancies, or signs of criminal activity related to fraud prevention and detection. Maintain accurate records of all investigative activities, reports, and evidence logs in accordance with organizational policies. Utilize Microsoft Office tools effectively to compile reports, create presentations, and manage case documentation efficiently. Experience Proven experience in criminal investigation or law enforcement roles with a focus on fraud prevention or related fields. Demonstrated expertise in surveillance operations, evidence analysis, and investigation evidence collection techniques. Strong understanding of criminal law, criminal procedure, and investigative protocols within government agency contexts. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify suspicious activities promptly. Skilled in report writing with clarity and precision to support legal processes or internal reviews. Familiarity with investigation software tools and Microsoft Office Suite for documentation purposes.
