What You ll Do 🍽️ Wash, sanitize, and put away dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. 🧽 Keep the kitchen, dish room, and dining areas clean and organized. 🗑️ Empty trash and help with kitchen cleanup. 👵 Help serve residents in the dining room when needed. 🤝 Work together with coworkers to get the job done. 😊 Treat residents, families, visitors, and coworkers with kindness and respect. 👀 Report any changes in a resident s condition or safety concerns to a supervisor. 🛡️ Follow health, safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures. 👕 Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude. 🔄 Be flexible and willing to help wherever needed. 📋 Complete other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director. What We re Looking For You don't need years of experience. We're looking for someone who is: 18 years or older . Dependable and able to follow a schedule. Comfortable following written and verbal instructions. Able to communicate in English. Friendly, respectful, and comfortable working with older adults. A team player who is willing to pitch in and help. Able to work independently when needed. Comfortable doing physical, active work. Interested in learning about food service, healthcare, hospitality, or senior living. Food service or dishwashing experience is a plus, but not required! What the Job Is Like You'll work in a clean, professional commercial kitchen within a healthcare setting. Expect to be on your feet and moving throughout your shift. The job includes working with dishes, water, cleaning products, food odors, and temperatures that can vary between hot and cold areas. Important Requirements Because this position is in a healthcare setting: You must meet applicable Title 22 requirements. You must pass a required criminal record clearance before beginning work. A required health screening must be completed, including applicable tuberculosis screening requirements. You must be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position, with reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities.
