Summary At Stefano's, our Dishwashers are essential to keeping the kitchen running smoothly. They are responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment by washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment while supporting the entire Back of House team. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual who takes pride in cleanliness, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and understands that a clean kitchen is the foundation of exceptional food and service. Every member of our team contributes to the guest experience, and our Dishwashers play a vital role in helping us deliver excellence every day. Core Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area throughout each shift. Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly. Restock clean dishes, cookware, and kitchen supplies for cooks and service staff. Keep sinks, drains, dish machines, and cleaning equipment clean and functioning properly. Follow all health department regulations and company sanitation standards. Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities as assigned. Safely use cleaning chemicals and follow all safety procedures. Communicate equipment issues or maintenance concerns to management promptly. Support the kitchen team wherever needed during busy periods. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a respectful, team-oriented work environment. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required. Food Handler Card required (or ability to obtain upon hire). Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a strong work ethic. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds throughout an entire shift. Skills Strong attention to cleanliness and organization. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards. Time management and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn. Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning procedures. Awareness of food safety and sanitation practices.
