Job Overview The Farmer and Chef, a premier catering business, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep/Dishwasher to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for assisting with simple kitchen prep projects while ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about food service who thrive in a fast-paced culinary setting. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of food according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly. Help with food handling and storage to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Keep the kitchen area organized and stocked with necessary supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during busy periods. Participate in regular cleaning tasks to maintain a hygienic work environment. A paid break is provided for all shifts that are 8 hours or longer Requirements Previous experience in food service, catering, or restaurant settings is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and stand for 8 or more hours Must be available to work weekends Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Willingness to help where needed, including cooking, cleaning, and assisting other team members. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
