Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards and sanitation regulations Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and prep work under supervision Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing used dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots or crates of supplies safely and efficiently Maintain kitchen cleanliness by regularly sanitizing surfaces, floors, and storage areas in accordance with sanitation standards Support kitchen staff with food handling tasks during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations Skills Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices in a restaurant setting Experience with food preparation, food handling, and operating kitchen equipment including dishwashers and knives Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual handling tasks efficiently Familiarity with restaurant or catering environments, including banquet experience preferred Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment Excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness and order in high-pressure situations Food service experience that demonstrates reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail Embark on a rewarding journey where your contributions keep our kitchen running smoothly!
