In this resident-first, hospitality-driven role, you will wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware; maintain a spotless dish room, kitchen, and utility areas; and assist with basic food prep and restocking. You will follow strict safety, sanitation, and infection-control standards to protect residents and staff. Working closely with the culinary team, you help ensure smooth, on-time meal service while reflecting our culture of compassion, dignity, and respect for seniors and coworkers. Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware following health standards Operate dish machines and perform proper chemical and temperature checks Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dish room, and utility areas, including floors, trash, and work surfaces Assist with basic food prep and restocking service stations as needed Follow infection control, safety, and sanitation procedures required in senior living Handle equipment and cleaning chemicals safely and according to guidelines Collaborate with cooks and servers to ensure smooth meal service for residents Support fine-dining style service by ensuring quick turnover of clean wares Report equipment or maintenance issues promptly Uphold resident-first, hospitality-focused service values at all times Required Skills Dishwashing machine operation Sanitation and hygiene standards Chemical handling and safety Infection control procedures Basic food preparation Kitchen cleaning and maintenance Trash and waste handling Time management in food service Teamwork in culinary environment Basic English reading and following directions
