In this role, you'll be the backbone of our culinary operations, ensuring that dishes are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for service while assisting with food preparation tasks. Duties Operate dishwashing equipment and manually wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools following proper sanitation procedures. Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients under supervision. Support the cleaning and organization of kitchen stations, including counters, equipment, and storage areas. Help with bussing tables and clearing plates during service to ensure a smooth dining experience for guests. Follow food safety management protocols to ensure all food handling and sanitation standards are met consistently. Assist with heavy lifting tasks like moving supplies or bulk ingredients while adhering to manual handling safety guidelines. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to kitchen health and safety standards at all times. Experience Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation is a plus. Knowledge of sanitation practices, including proper dishwashing and cleaning procedures, is highly desirable. Experience working in restaurant, catering, or banquet settings will be beneficial. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and work efficiently during busy service times. Basic knife skills or culinary experience can be advantageous but are not required; willingness to learn is key.
