Responsibilities Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld. Clear and reset tables efficiently by bussing dishes, silverware, napkins, and other items while maintaining a clean dining area. Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers and other small appliances. Follow sanitation protocols for cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to maintain a safe and sanitary environment. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies or trash disposal while adhering to proper lifting techniques for safety. Support food safety management practices by adhering to all health and safety standards related to food handling and sanitation. Skills Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations. Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards within a commercial kitchen setting. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Basic knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment are advantageous. Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards essential for maintaining a safe work environment. Previous experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus, showcasing versatility in food service environments. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a positive attitude to support busy restaurant operations effectively.
