Responsibilities Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations. Bypass and buss tables, ensuring cleanliness in dining areas and service stations. Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, pans, and bulk supplies in accordance with kitchen health and safety standards. Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen environment. Support food handling procedures by adhering to food safety management practices and restaurant health standards. Skills Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols. Experience with dishwashing techniques and operating commercial kitchen equipment. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique. Knowledge of food preparation, cleaning, bussing, and basic kitchen operations. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards. Prior restaurant or catering experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued. Good physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
