The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized, contributing to the overall success of our food service operations. A background in restaurant or hotel settings is preferred but not required. Duties Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment. Prepare rice with a rice cooker for the restaurant as needed Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors as needed. Assist in food preparation tasks as directed by cooks or kitchen staff. Ensure that all kitchen tools and equipment are cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the organization of the dishwashing area to promote efficiency. Support banquet service by cleaning dishes used during events promptly. Follow all safety and sanitation policies to maintain a safe working environment. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen setting is a plus but not mandatory. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary terms is beneficial. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A strong work ethic with a willingness to help team members as needed in various kitchen tasks. Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks associated with cleaning and food service duties.
