Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including counters, utensils, equipment, and storage spaces, adhering to health and safety standards. Buss tables by clearing dishes, resetting service areas, and ensuring a tidy dining environment for guests. Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines at all times. Support kitchen staff with cooking duties as needed, including basic cooking tasks under supervision. Assist with food inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels. Contribute to excellent food service by serving guests promptly and courteously during meal periods or special events. Participate in cleaning routines such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing kitchen surfaces to uphold hygiene standards. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods or large-scale events. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, catering, or hospitality is highly desirable. Familiarity with food preparation techniques such as chopping, mixing, or assembling ingredients. Experience working in banquet settings or hotel kitchens is a plus. Knowledge of proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting moderate weights. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively during busy service times.
